Winchester Science Centre
In 2017 Winchester Science Centre approached me and asked for help in the initial development of a new permanent exhibition.
This resulted in me being asked to help design, build and manage the projects delivery. Working alongside the trusts in house teams, I helped turn what was 'dead area' in the lower levels, into the inside of an exploration mining spaceship. With a nod to 'Red Dwarf', the build was a dirty down construction where the public could engage with a variety of interactive's all based around space exploration and its science.
My design work helped form a 3D model of the exhibit and supporting renders where used to realise the look and feel. I translated these designs into CAD drawings for our principle contracts so all the major sections could be built offsite and installed quickly to reduce the impact to the centre during installation.
This was a great project and its looked amazing when opened in 2019 by Tim Peakes....well who else!
